Come join us at Mount Carmel Care Center! We are a faith-based, non-profit, boutique-sized long-term care facility with 69 beds, nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents.

Position Details

We are seeking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) – Part or Full Time
. Pay ranges from $38.50 to $47.50 per hour, plus additional for shift differences. Benefits include up to 30 days of paid time off, 80% health insurance premium reimbursement, and more. The only faith-based skilled nursing facility in Berkshire County.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nursing license in Massachusetts.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and delegate staff.
Job Summary

Assist the Unit/Shift Supervisor in planning, organizing, developing, and directing nursing unit activities, including problem identification and development of correction plans. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Check all residents early in the shift, make periodic assessments, and report changes.
  • Assess resident care needs for Minimum Data Set, resident assessment protocols, and interdisciplinary care plans.
  • Report resident condition changes and document in the medical record.
  • Administer and record prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Assess residents upon admission and initiate interim care plans.
  • Render emergency care as needed, report to supervisor, and submit complete, accurate, and timely incident reports.
