Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Part‑time openings on all shifts. Full‑time openings on 7 a‑3 p. Weekly pay ranges from $19 to $24 an hour. Evenings, overnights, and weekends have shift differentials.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, the primary purpose of your job position is to provide your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures, and as may be directed by the licensed staff nurse.

Experience & Education
  • Must possess an active and unencumbered CNA license in Massachusetts, be in the process of obtaining one, or recently graduated from a state‑approved CNA course.
  • CPR certification preferred, but not necessary.
  • New graduates welcome.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
  • Participate in planning and following the current resident care plan for all residents under your care.
  • Complete resident assignments effectively and promptly.
  • Observe changes in resident conditions and promptly report them.
  • Document accurately and completely.
  • Meet personal grooming needs for each resident.
  • Promptly answer call lights and assure that all are placed within reach of the resident.
  • Ensure the resident care areas are left clean and in an orderly manner.
  • Maintain accurate identification of residents (e.g., I.D. bracelets).
  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques in accordance with orientation and training processes of the facility and your specific job description.
  • Other duties assigned by manager.
Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilization thereof.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non‑professional personnel.
  • Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
  • Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into nursing practices.
  • Effective communication concerning emergency situations.
