Program Summary

This 1‑year New Graduate Nurse Residency Program introduces newly graduated registered nurses to nursing practice from multiple perspectives through didactic, clinical, and experiential opportunities. Participants will engage in all didactic sessions and learn to participate in the planning, delivery, and management of direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to professional standards of practice.

Program Description

The residency is designed for nurses who have passed the NCLEX and possess less than 9 months of RN work experience. Across the year, residents will attend educational sessions that foster critical thinking, professional practice behaviors, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, clinical judgment, and knowledge transfer to a high‑tech acute care environment. Residents are partnered with experienced preceptors who provide clinical coaching and competency validation.

Initial orientation is on one unit with a preceptor; after successful completion, residents will transition to independent RN roles in units that vary in hours and shift type based on unit needs.

Program Outcomes

Enhanced ability to provide quality, evidence‑based care, advanced critical thinking, and improved clinical decision‑making skills.

Equal Employment Opportunity

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, or any other status protected by law.

Disability Assistance

If you are unable to submit an application because of incompatible assistive technology or a disability, please contact us at talent acquisition. We will make every effort to respond to your request for disability assistance as soon as possible.
