Job Summary:

Help us continue to make a difference in the underserved communities we serve! The Gandara Center Outpatient and Recovery Services Division is seeking a full-time or part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to work in our Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, located in Springfield, MA. We are looking for someone with a Youth Speciality. The candidate must be licensed in Massachusetts, the position is on-site & temporary COVID-19 accommodations are being made.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working in an outpatient setting
• Seeing children, adolescents and adults
• Meet with clients to complete Individual Psychiatric Evaluations and assess for immediate needs
• Continue to continuity of care with medication follow up appointments
• Documentation including assessments, progress notes and collateral contacts
• Be available for consultation when needed, to staff and other service providers
• Prescription and management of psychiatric needs
• Ensure quality care is delivered to clients within a therapeutic environment in a cost-effective manner
• Demonstrate behaviors that recognize the rights of clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of a Master’s Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited school of nursing
• License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts
• Experience: 1 year (preferred) of working with a variety of psychiatric disorders
