American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Float position requiring an active MA RN license and Epic charting experience.

• Float position within the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Works night shift with 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-7:15)
• 36 hours per week schedule
• Requires working every other weekend and every other major holiday
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations available
• Must be able to work all 7 days of the week as needed

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 18 months acute care experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Skills needed include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Additional skills include respiratory care, chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur Evac), continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), and PCA medication management
• Must pass a telemetry exam and a medication exam during orientation with only one attempt allowed for each
• Two references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

• Float to various units as needed within the telemetry care setting
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response care to telemetry patients
• Multiple study materials provided during compliance process to help prepare for required exams
• Modules must be completed pre-start, during orientation, and annually
• Must work assigned major holidays
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Must reside within 200 miles of the facility
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
