Nurse Supervisor

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise other Nurses on the team.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled individual and team supervision in accordance with BHN policies and document individual and team supervision in the BHN Supervision Note.
  • Oversee all medication plans and document as individually indicated and in accordance with MAP regulations.
  • Under the direction of the team psychiatrist and in collaboration with other registered nurses on the team, manage pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and administer medical assessments of individuals' physical health, making appropriate referrals to community physicians for further assessment and treatment, and coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment.
  • Ensure change of shift log is completed each shift and that change of shift occurs each shift with oncoming staff.
  • Ensure that all sharps and lighters are accounted for and secured.
  • Provide safe and timely transportation in own vehicle, as needed, for medical appointments, recreational activities, shopping, errands, etc.
  • Provide ongoing information, periodic reviews, and documentation to support treatment and Treatment Plan goals and objectives.
  • Complete initial assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, financial management plans, and assessments to assigned caseload as required by supervisor.
  • Serve as primary case manager for assigned caseload as required by supervisor.
  • Maintain OSHA guidelines.
  • Complete individually assigned program-specific responsibilities.
  • Recognize and report program-specific safety and maintenance concerns.
  • Coordinate any health insurance correspondence.
  • Oversee that the physical health record is maintained.
  • Oversee coordination of vaccines.
  • Attend in-services, meetings, and trainings as assigned and scheduled; keep mandatory trainings up to date.
  • Maintain information/documentation in Smartsheet and Carelogic.
  • Serve in an on-call/after-hours supervision capacity.
  • Review and become familiar with the PACT orientation manual and Policy & Procedure manual.
  • Ensure all staff are following MAP Policies and Procedures and follow these procedures.
  • Work weekends, second shifts, and holidays as needed.
  • Attain competence in motivational interviewing and utilize this approach when working with ambivalence.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in a related field.
  • Five years' experience in the human services field, with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure and certifications required.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
