American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatrics RN with active MA licensure, 2+ years of recent Peds/PICU experience, and prior travel nursing experience for a night shift assignment.

• Work in the Pediatrics unit of a hospital setting with float requirements to PICU
• Patient population includes respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, general med surg, and eating disorder cases
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 19:00-7:00
• Every third weekend required
• Uses Epic charting system
• 13-week assignment length

• Active MA RN license required in hand to be considered
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• APHON certification preferred
• 2 years of recent Peds/PICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Preferred experience in a Trauma Level I setting
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

• Care for a diverse pediatric patient population including respiratory, trauma, psychiatric, diabetes, general med-surg, and eating disorder cases
• Will primarily be stationed on the Pediatrics unit with required floating to PICU
• Must complete a Pass/Fail Tele test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed; failure to pass results in cancellation of assignment
• Must also complete a Pass/Fail Medication exam at orientation
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system before reapplying
