UMass Memorial Health, the leading health and wellness system in Central Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Anticoagulation Clinic within the Division of Cardiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP to join a collaborative, established team providing specialized care to patients requiring anticoagulation management.
This 24-hour per week position offers an attractive hybrid work model, with one day onsite in Worcester and the remaining hours worked remotely. The preferred schedule is three 8-hour shifts, providing flexibility while maintaining meaningful patient-facing responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have prior clinical experience, particularly in cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery (CTS), and an interest in managing complex cardiovascular patients. Working alongside cardiologists, APPs, and other members of the multidisciplinary team, the APP will provide comprehensive anticoagulation management, patient education, medication monitoring, and longitudinal follow-up.
This position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive academic health system while providing high-quality, accessible care through a combination of in-person and virtual care.

Collaborative Call Structure: Average of 1 evening and 1 weekend of call per month, with additional APPs available to assist with coverage

Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current NP or PA certification
Eligibility for Massachusetts licensure
Prior clinical experience as an NP or PA
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred:
Experience in cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery (CTS)
Experience managing patients receiving anticoagulation therapy
Experience caring for complex cardiovascular patients
Experience providing virtual or remote patient care
