American Traveler is seeking an ER RN with an active MA license and Level I Trauma experience for a night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center.
Details- Emergency Department unit within a Level I Trauma Center
- Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- Shift start times rarely flexed up to 4 hours earlier or later only for urgent staffing needs
- 26-week assignment length, though facility allows 13–26 week contracts
- 36 or 48 hours per week options available
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of ED experience required; 2+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry
- Skilled in respiratory care and care of ventilated patients
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
- Triage skills required
- Psych/behavioral health ED experience
- Two professional references required, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Must pass a medication exam and a telemetry exam during orientation, each with only one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to help prepare for required exams
- One major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) must be included in RTO
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted, with no RTO allowed during the first week
- Priority given to candidates with minimal RTO and 26-week contract length
- Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system before reapplying
