Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology
Worcester, Massachusetts

Up to $12,500 sign‑on bonus based on eligibility. 36 hours per week, shift 12 hours nights.

Employment type:

Staff.

• Provide direct clinical patient care.
• Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and at the unit level.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
• Support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care; maintain competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
• Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective total nursing care to all patients.
• Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform and fulfill all Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
• Be knowledgeable of the hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adhere to the hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Education:
  
  Graduated from a state‑approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
• Certification:
  Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
• CPR certification.

  Academic degree in nursing (bachelor’s or master’s degree).
