American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatrics RN for a night shift assignment requiring MA licensure and prior travel nursing experience.
Details- Work in the Pediatrics unit of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, general med surg, and eating disorder cases
- Typical patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Every third weekend required
- Primarily stationed on Pediatrics with float requirement to PICU
- Uses Epic charting system
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and PALS certification required
- APHON certification preferred
- 2 years of recent Peds/PICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, medication administration, and pediatric dosage calculations preferred
- Two references required for consideration, with one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Provide pediatric nursing care across a varied patient population including respiratory, trauma, psych, diabetes, and eating disorder cases
- Support includes standard hospital nursing team structure within a teaching hospital environment
- Must complete a Pass/Fail Telemetry test and Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation
- Additional pre-start and orientation modules required, completed annually
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Radius requirement of 200 miles for travel pay eligibility
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
- First-time travelers not eligible; prior travel nursing experience required
