DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1.5 years of ED experience.
Details- Evening shift, 3x12 hours from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
- Shift start time may occasionally flex up to 4 hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
- Union facility requiring availability to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of ED experience required; 2+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
- Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
- Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED settings
- Provide emergency nursing care within a Level I Trauma Center
- Must pass a pass/fail telemetry exam and a pass/fail medication exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials will be provided during compliance and pre-orientation process
- Pre-start and orientation modules required, along with annual module completion
- Accepts local candidates within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with none allowed in the first week of assignment
- Priority given to candidates offering minimal RTO and 26-week contract lengths
- One major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) must be included in RTO
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
