Registered Nurse, Med Surg

• Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process and nursing practice standards
• Utilize the Nursing Process to manage patient care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedure
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care, including discharge planning
• Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting
• Delegate appropriately according to job descriptions and competency levels

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration
• BLS certification required for every RN unless current ACLS certification is held, plus any unit-specific certifications and competencies
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred

Demonstrates expertise in patient care management through the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, and evaluation. Holds current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and BLS certification, with a strong foundation in nursing standards and practices.
