Our company is a leading innovator in the pharmaceutical industry, dedicated to advancing drug discovery and development. We are establishing a world‑class R&D center in Taizhou, Zhejiang, and are seeking a seasoned scientific leader to spearhead our research initiatives and build a high‑performing team.

We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Pharmaceutical R&D to lead our research institute. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in organic chemistry and pharmaceutical engineering, with a proven track record of managing full‑cycle drug development projects in top‑tier Western pharmaceutical companies. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge scientific excellence with operational execution to drive our pipeline forward.

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the R&D strategy aligned with the company’s long‑term business goals. Lead the scientific direction for both synthetic and formulation R&D.
• Operational Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of pharmaceutical R&D, from early‑stage discovery to process optimization and GMP scale‑up. Ensure strict compliance with global regulations (FDA/EMA/NMPA) and GMP standards.
• Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and scientific rigor.
• Resource Integration: Efficiently allocate resources and manage budgets to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope. Coordinate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Business Development.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary scientific spokesperson for the R&D division, communicating complex technical concepts to executive leadership, partners, and regulatory bodies in fluent English.

• Education: Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field from a globally recognized university.
• Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical R&D (synthesis and formulation).
• At least 5+ years of senior management experience (Director level or above) within top‑tier European or American pharmaceutical companies

• Demonstrated success in leading multiple projects from bench to market/commercialization.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP regulations, quality systems, and industry best practices. Strong command of process chemistry and formulation development.
• Location Requirement: Must be physically based in Taizhou, Zhejiang
