Scientist II
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist II to support research and development programs through the execution of cell based and protein based functional assays. This role will contribute to antibody screening, characterization, and lead candidate evaluation within a collaborative research environment. The ideal candidate will generate high quality scientific data, perform detailed analysis, and communicate findings to cross functional teams.
This position requires strong laboratory expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple research activities in a fast paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high throughput antibody screening and characterization studies.
- Perform ELISA, flow cytometry, and additional functional assays to evaluate biologic activity.
- Execute cell based and protein based assays supporting research and development programs.
- Analyze experimental data and present scientific findings to project teams.
- Review scientific literature and apply relevant insights to ongoing research activities.
- Troubleshoot laboratory assays, instrumentation, and experimental procedures.
- Support the development and expansion of high throughput screening platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve research objectives.
- Maintain accurate experimental documentation and prepare scientific reports.
- Manage multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with three to five years of relevant laboratory experience or Bachelor's degree with Master's degree.
- Strong experience performing ELISA and other binding assays.
- Hands on experience with flow cytometry.
- Strong cell culture experience.
- Experience working with automated liquid handling systems.
- Experience supporting biologics, antibodies, and antibody mimetics.
- Ability to analyze, document, and interpret scientific data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high throughput screening.
- Experience using Graph Pad Prism.
- Experience using Flow Jo.
- Knowledge of novel screening technologies and assay development.
- Experience supporting both in vitro and in vivo research programs.
