A global, commercialized biopharmaceutical company in Middlesex County, MA is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Research Scientist to join its Clinical Development organization. This role is ideal for a senior clinical scientist who thrives in cross‑functional environments and enjoys shaping clinical strategy across early and late‑phase development.
What You’ll Do
- Lead clinical data review activities to ensure high‑quality, decision‑ready datasets across assigned studies.
- Support DSMB activities, including preparation of materials and interpretation of outputs.
- Contribute to clinical study protocol development and ensure alignment with program objectives and regulatory expectations.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to define endpoints, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and study methodologies.
- Oversee selection and validation of clinical outcome measures and data collection strategies.
- Conduct literature reviews to inform clinical trial design and development plans.
- Summarize and present clinical insights to internal teams and senior leadership.
- Contribute to clinical development plans spanning Phase 1–3 programs.
- Evaluate opportunities for new indications and support strategic program expansion.
- Provide scientific input into regulatory documents and support interactions with health authorities.
- Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, and conference presentations.
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, investigators, and external experts.
What You Bring
- Advanced degree (PhD or PharmD) in related discipline.
- 5+ years of industry experience in clinical research within pharma/biotech.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical trial design and execution, and data interpretation.
- Experience in neuroscience, CNS disorders, pain, or psychiatry is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead clinical research initiatives and contribute to strategic development plans.
- Experience collaborating with investigators, KOLs, and external clinical experts.
- Solid understanding of ICH, GCP, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment.
