Overview

The Botanist is a subsidiary of Canopy USA, LLC, a leading vertically integrated, multi-state operator in the United States cannabis industry. With the transition of Acreage Holdings to Canopy USA, LLC in December 2024, Canopy USA is positioned to consolidate operations across its business units – Wana, Jetty, and Acreage – supporting growth in state-legal markets across the U.S. The Botanist covers retail and contributes to growth in the Midwestern and Northeastern U.S.

The Dispensary Associate interacts with, educates, and advises patients face-to-face and by phone, handles record-keeping, assists with inventory and cash management, and collaborates with local service providers. The Dispensary Associate will be cross-trained in all order fulfillment activities, including preparing orders, entering product information, calling patients with product requests, and admitting patients.

• OPEN AVAILABILITY, NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS REQUIRED
• Greet members in person or on the phone; schedule appointments; oversee member intake and renewal procedures
• Maintain member records in compliance with State law and Company policy
• Answer questions about the law and the Company from members and others
• Assist members in selecting medicine; advise and educate on safe dosage and other aspects of this medicine
• Assist Dispensary Manager with inventory and cash management, daily and weekly
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facility
• Other duties may be assigned by the General Manager according to Company needs

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry – hospitality and retail backgrounds preferred
• Cash-handling experience preferred
• Able to pass a state mandated background check
• Night and Weekend Availability Required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana preferred
• Outstanding phone and in-person customer service skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and stay even-keeled under stress
• Demonstrated proactivity, flexibility, adaptability and multi-tasking

• Must be able to work quickly but efficiently, while maintaining product integrity
• Light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs; heavier weights with assistance
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
• Repetitive motions and understanding of lab equipment
• Must wear company-provided lab coats, hair/beard nets, gloves, masks and safety glasses/goggles
• Must adhere to facility general hygiene requirements
• Capacity to stay focused on the task at hand
