Managers in Training will learn how to successfully manage the day‑to‑day responsibilities of running a Cumberland Farms convenience store location from our finest leaders.
Training Process- During official training weeks, Managers in Training work alongside Training Managers, gaining insight and best practices for managing a convenience store location.
- During supervisory weeks (in between training weeks) Managers in Training work a variety of shifts alongside team members, putting their leadership training to practice.
- After training, Managers in Training become part of our bench leadership team, helping to fill in during absences until assigned to their own store.
- Greet guests with a warm welcome and a smile, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assist Store Manager with building and developing a strong store team through training, scheduling, and coaching.
- Act as a leader by setting clear goals, holding self and others accountable, and communicating effectively.
- Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotate stock, and keep inventory full.
- Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs at hot‑food locations.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of both interior and exterior, ensuring the coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms are spotless.
- Operate the cash register efficiently.
- Assist the Store Manager by overseeing quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and other guidelines in hot‑food areas; perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
This is a full‑time position requiring varied hours—including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts—since Cumberland Farms stores operate 24 hours in many locations.
Hours & ConditionsFull‑time, up to 40 regular hours per week with 5 hours overtime required.
TravelApproximately 5%; ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently and have a vehicle for this purpose.
Physical RequirementsAbility to maneuver and routinely lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, stand or walk 8 hours daily, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, grind, and work in cooler temperatures. Typical noise level is moderate.
OtherSpecialized attire required in food establishments (hats or visors, gloves, etc. provided).
Additional InfoWe provide a base salary range for transparency; final pay is based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Base pay is one part of our total rewards approach.
