The main purpose of the role is to provide exceptional customer service at the point of sale, maximizing selling opportunities and minimizing risk to the business. The cashier must perform till procedures efficiently, accurately, and courteously, ensuring the security of all receipts and till contents.
Job Responsibilities- Greeting customers
- Ringing up purchases and accepting payments
- Issuing accurate receipts
- Balancing the till
- Demonstrating public relations skills
- Upholding and promoting company values and culture
- Grade 12 completed
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
- Helpful and polite demeanor
- Knowledge of building material products an advantage
- 2–3 years cashier experience an advantage
- Basic computer skills
