Summary
Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for assisting with the operation of the Produce department, assisting the Produce Manager with budgeting and financial aspects, overseeing clerks, monitoring merchandising, rotation, and inventory levels to promote optimal sales opportunities. Ensures that all customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately, and that all merchandising programs are executed completely, as per merchandising department guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
- Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling requests.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
- Assist the Produce Manager with day‑to‑day operations, including product merchandising, arrangements, displays, rotation, inventory levels, scheduling, and other administrative duties.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies to meet department conditions required by company standards.
- Rotate and examine perishable product to ensure proper quality, code, and condition.
- Accurately fulfill all customer orders and deliveries.
- Ensure associates adhere to company and state sanitation and safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service with customers throughout the store.
- Assist with training and scheduling of all associates in produce operations.
- Operate various produce equipment, including but not limited to product weight scales, juice and pineapple machines.
- Assume responsibilities of the produce manager as needed.
- Assist with all responsibilities of the Produce department per company guidelines.
- Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Education and ExperienceSatisfactory performance reviews, basic computer skills, strong communication skills, high school degree or equivalent, and 6–12 months of related experience.
