Business Development Representative (BDR)

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Managed Services team. This role focuses on identifying, nurturing, and qualifying new business opportunities across small and mid-sized organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage potential clients through outbound calls, emails, social media, networking, and industry events.
  • Conduct research on target accounts to understand business needs and IT challenges.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline in CRM tools.
  • Conduct discovery calls to assess IT pain points, timelines, and budgets.
  • Qualify opportunities for managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, and project work.
  • Schedule meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to senior sales staff.
  • Track activities and pipeline stages in CRM; provide weekly KPI updates.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • 1–3 years in business development, inside sales, or lead generation.
  • Strong understanding of Managed IT Services, UCCaas/CCaaS, cybersecurity basics, and cloud computing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and explain technical concepts simply.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in MSP, SaaS, telecom, or technology sales.
  • Familiarity with Connect Wise, Hub Spot, Kaseya, Datto, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Weekly outbound activity volume.
  • Number of qualified meetings set.
  • Opportunity conversion rate.
  • Contribution to monthly recurring revenue (MRR).
