Hourly rates starting at $35.00.

Job Summary

Responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products to both adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This position advises and assists patients with various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight, and color.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Verify order data entry, compare Rx to the original Rx provided from the doctor, and assure accuracy of information entered in the system. File orders under the correct ABC system in the store.
  • Deliver sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone. Explain in detail all procedures included under the exam fee, while maintaining a friendly, pleasant demeanor with customers at all times.
  • Takes measurements, ensures correct frame selection for Rx power, reads prescriptions on the lensometer, and manages product readiness and order status in the system.
  • Strive to deliver sales and metric goals by educating patients on the benefits of available products and recommending those that improve their visual needs.
  • Engage with members during downtime in front of Optical.
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures (e.g., HIPAA) as required by law. Assist Members with eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
