Responsible for executing Acquisition 365, renewing, upgrading, cross‑selling BJ’s Loyalty Programs and handling merchandise returns, exchanges, pick‑ups, and general customer service inquiries.
Provide excellent and efficient member service while supporting club policies, procedures and compliance, and maintaining a safe, positive environment for members and colleagues. Embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively to achieve goals, and move with speed and agility.
Responsibilities- Promote the BJ’s value proposition regarding acquisition, retention, perks, and the member experience.
- Convert potential members by actively pitching all membership programs in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Sell BJ’s membership products to new and existing members with high energy and determination.
- Achieve sales goals set by the business and track progress against benchmarks.
- Understand and explain all BJ’s Membership options, including Co‑Brand credit card.
- Deliver superior customer service as first line point‑of‑contact for membership, credit card applications, questions, issues, merchandise returns, exchanges, product lookup, and pick‑ups.
- Follow tax‑exempt/resale membership policies, monitor renewals, and manage status updates.
- Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC and MOD when necessary.
- Assist with Buy Online and Pick Up In Club orders for members.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance and comply with club movement policies.
- Prior front line/customer service or sales experience preferred.
- Results‑driven with proven success in goal achievement.
- Basic math skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Most of the time spent in a stationary position on hard surfaces.
- Occasional bending, reaching, pulling, stooping, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- May need assistance for lifting heavier objects over 30 pounds.
- Indoor environment with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.
- Occasional contact with cleaning agents.
- Familiarity with AI tools is desired but not required.
