Pay Range: $83,400.00 - $

The Sales Specialist for the Western & Cellular Analysis sales team will be responsible for sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments, related systems, and consumables to customers within the assigned territory. This field-based commercial sales role covers Connecticut and Northwest Massachusetts; the ideal candidate would be located in either region.

In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for a commission plan and a long‑term incentive package of stock grants based on individual and company performance, in accordance with company policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods
  • Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts
  • Work closely with the full Commercial Team to ensure a coordinated approach to customers and promote all Bio‑Techne solutions
  • Field sales located in the assigned territory, visiting customers 75% of the time
  • Familiar with standard scientific methods, techniques, reagents & equipment relevant to Bio‑Techne’s product line
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for both instruments and reagents in the Immunoassay Product Lines
  • Use  to manage all active leads, customers, and opportunities. Dashboards will be used to track progress and KPIs
  • Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision
  • Ensure that customers understand the value proposition, features & benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of all relevant products
Job Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) in a science‑related field required
  • Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of sales experience in the Life Science tools space and with 2+ years selling in related markets and space
  • High‑value capital equipment sales experience
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of customer workflows and the applications supported in research, development, and production of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics
  • Broad understanding of a variety of scientific techniques and research areas of interest (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High‑Value Capital Equipment)
  • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
  • Proficiency in executing value‑based sales techniques, including prospecting, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutions
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on understanding buyer needs and delivering customer‑centric solutions
  • Ability to map key accounts, identify business potential, and execute territory business plans
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem‑solving
  • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and  a plus
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence; a self‑starter
  • Capable and interested in working in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, independent, with a strong desire to succeed
