Senior Regional Sales Manager – Boston

RBW Consulting is supporting a disruptive and growing life science Biophysical tools company to drive growth across the Boston area. This role is ideal for individuals who combine scientific understanding with strong commercial instincts and enjoy building a territory through strategic planning, relationship development, and technical engagement.

The position is suited to candidates already based in Boston. Sponsorship is not available.

The Role

Senior Technical Sales Specialist will manage a high-potential territory and serve as a scientific and commercial resource for researchers across biotech, pharma, and academia. Working closely with a dedicated applications specialist and the wider commercial team, you will generate demand, expand account penetration, and represent a portfolio of advanced biophysical and analytical instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve annual revenue targets across the assigned territory.
  • Build a strong pipeline by identifying new prospects and converting them into active accounts.
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity records using Salesforce.
  • Deliver engaging technical and product presentations to scientific audiences.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and regional events.
  • Use social selling and networking strategies to identify new opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
  • 2–5 years of sales experience within the life science sector, ideally involving capital equipment.
  • Comfortable with up to 40% travel, including occasional international trips.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled networker with the ability to build professional relationships quickly.
  • Effective both as an independent contributor and as part of a coordinated commercial team.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent user of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline required; advanced degrees (MSc/PhD) in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, or related fields are advantageous.
