About the OpportunityRevere Staffing Partners is looking for an experienced Sales Manager on behalf of our client — a well-established, family-owned American manufacturer of precision bearings, metal stampings, machined components, and assembled products — to lead business development and drive revenue growth. This ISO 9001-registered company holds leading positions in its markets and serves a diverse customer base across Farm Machinery, Material Handling, Trucking, Industrial Equipment, Air Cargo, Office Equipment, and Recreational Vehicle markets.
This is a direct hire opportunity — you'll be employed by the client from day one.
The Sales Manager will serve as a key member of the leadership team, managing key accounts, identifying new market opportunities, and collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.
What You'll Do Sales & Business Development- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales and profitability objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets
- Generate and qualify leads through prospecting, networking, trade shows, industry contacts, and referrals
- Expand sales within current accounts while developing new customer relationships
- Conduct customer visits and presentations; prepare and negotiate pricing proposals, quotations, and contracts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
- Manage and direct a field force of independent manufacturers' reps — setting expectations, driving activity, and holding the rep network accountable for territory performance
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts; serve as primary point of contact for major customer concerns and opportunities
- Conduct regular customer reviews and business development meetings
- Assist in developing annual sales forecasts, budgets, goals, and performance metrics
- Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts; track performance against goals
- Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and profitability; maintain accurate customer and opportunity records
- Achieve annual sales growth targets; secure a minimum of 3–5 new customer accounts annually
- Conduct a minimum of 4–6 customer or prospect visits per month
- Maintain an active quoting pipeline and monitor quote-to-order conversion
- Improve gross margins through strategic pricing and account management
- Proven experience managing a field force of independent sales reps (must-have)
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing sales experience
- Proven track record of business development and revenue growth
- Experience working with OEM and industrial customers
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
- Experience selling bearings, machined components, metal stampings, or related industrial products
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems
- Strong leadership, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Travel
Approximately 25%–50%, depending on business needs — customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, and facility tours.
