Senior Scientist , Cell Culture Process Development

Job Description

• Develop and characterize highly productive CHO cell culture processes suitable for cGMP biotherapeutic manufacturing within project timelines, performing technical transfer, and manufacturing support activities.
• Serve as the upstream subject matter expert for high-throughput systems, executing and supporting experiments to ensure consistent, high-quality scientific output. Develop and maintain SOPs and best practices related to high-throughput system usage and experimental workflows.
• Lead data collection and formatting activities for high-throughput processes, utilizing existing digital platforms to ensure timely, structured, and analysis‑ready outputs.
• Drive enhancements to cell culture process development digital systems to improve overall team efficiency and operational effectiveness by identifying gaps in current upstream workflows.
• Act as a liaison between scientific and technical stakeholders to translate operational needs into functional system requirements.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, documentation, and GMP compliance.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with minimum 10 years of experience, or Master’s Degree or equivalent education with minimum 8 years of experience. Or PhD with no minimum years of experience, in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with high-throughput laboratory systems and associated experimental workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with mammalian suspension cell culture at different bench‑top scales: deep‑well plates, shake flasks, bioreactors.
• Experience in statistical data analysis tools such as design of experiments, multivariate data analysis, and data modeling.
• Hands‑on knowledge in programming languages and cloud platforms is a plus.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
