About the Position
AVID Energy Solutions, a Mass Save Partner®, is seeking an experienced Master or Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Worcester, MA. Earn $70,000 – $120,000+ with uncapped commissions helping customers with energy efficiency and utility cost savings.
The ideal candidate will have experience working for a company that partners with the Mass Save® program, however it is not required. This person must be organized and well‑skilled in all aspects of electrical installations and service. The role involves electrical hookups of home generators and batteries, electric car chargers, HVAC equipment, panel and service upgrades, as well as knob and tube remediation, bath and mechanical fan installation, and emergency repairs.

Essential Job Functions & Qualifications- 3+ years experience preferred in system startup and installation
- Have active drivers license with no / minimal driving infractions
- Have Master Electrician or Journeyman Electrician License issued by MA or NH
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Thorough understanding of electrical principles, practices, and techniques, as well as current electrical codes and regulations.
- OSHA 10 required and OSHA 30 preferred
- Work 7:30am - 5:00pm daily and additional hours as needed / required
- Adherence to Mass Save® and company best practice for safety and quality
- Perform knob & tube assessments resulting in sign-off or quote and IC rated light assessments resulting in sign-off or quote per Mass Save process standards
- Repairing damage by crews to light fixtures, wiring, fuses, or anything electrical related.
- Installing electric thermostats.
- Wiring heat pump, boiler, furnace electrical components and hard-wiring smoke detectors
- Installing bath fans and mechanical ventilation
- Service and panel upgrades
- Knob and tube remediation
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as safety regulations and industry standards
- Pulling and closing permits in all areas where required and ensuring that all required permits and licenses are obtained and kept up to date for each project
- Complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and reports related to electrical installations, inspections, and permits
- Good work ethic, can-do attitude, and do the right thing even when no one is watching
- Consistent tidy appearance
- Able to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Able to organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and solve problems with minimal supervision.
- Ability to enter and maneuver in crawl spaces, basements and attics as needed
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Travels frequently within assigned territory
