Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell‑tower sites. The role is fast‑paced, rewards responsibility and self‑direction, offers travel, and provides growth opportunities in the telecom industry.
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts area. Candidates should reside here.
Core Responsibilities- Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and replace components of entire systems.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services.
- Complete daily work reports accurately and promptly.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
- Must reside in the Worcester, Massachusetts area.
- Available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
- Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
- Occasional overnights required – company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
- Driving to remote work sites as needed.
- Will be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Required to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
$27.00–$38.00 hourly, DOE.
Actual compensation is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and location. Additional bonuses, incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, and per diem may apply.
