Job Title

Handyman (Handyman X2 – Permanent)

Worcester, Breede Valley Municipality

R – R per annum

Perform tasks associated with building repairs, renovations to interior and exterior surfaces, fixtures, fittings, carpentry and plumbing systems. Complete procedural administrative reports, instructional and transactional forms and documentation related to the activities of the Division.

• Repair defects and/or renovate interior and exterior building surfaces and surroundings.
• Complete internal transactional documentation (e.g., time sheets, job reports, etc.) and related forms.
• Drive municipal vehicles and maintain cleanliness of vehicles and tools.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations in accordance with the OHS Act.

• Grade 10.
• Certification of competency in the operation of small plant and equipment, masonry and painting (NQF
  3).
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• 3–6 months relevant work experience.
• Physically fit and healthy; able to lift and carry weights up to 25 kg.
• Proficient in at least two of the three official languages in the Western Cape.
