Program Overview
Flee Tec Academy is a paid educational program that leads to a full‑time career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician. The program includes five weeks of full‑time classroom training, free technical education, and hands‑on training with a Lead Technician, culminating in a full‑time mobile mechanic position.
Responsibilities- Attend five weeks of full‑time classroom training at the Academy Campus.
- Participate in hands‑on training supervised by a Lead Technician.
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs onsite at customers’ facilities.
- Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Follow safety and quality standards during all service activities.
- Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician.
- Willingness and ability to study hard and dedicate five weeks away from home.
- Maturity to focus on the task at hand.
- Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles.
- Ability to operate iPad.
- Must be 21 years old to drive company trucks.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Background checks, driving record checks, pre‑employment drug testing and physical clearance required.
- $16/h (or state minimum wage, whichever is greater) + $250/week stipend the first week (taxed).
- $21/h upon graduation from the first phase of training.
- Additional training and pay progression will be available.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays per year.
- Bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
USD 15.10 - 22.60 per hour – hourly base rate may vary based on location and candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission or incentive programs.
