Mobile HVAC / Maintenance Technician
Location: Worcester, MA
Work Shift: 1st shift
Job OverviewMobile HVAC / Maintenance Technician performs annual preventive maintenance and hands‑on repair work across multiple commercial properties within a defined geographic territory. The role includes inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repair services on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
- Inspect and report on as‑found conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
- Respond to emergencies and support after‑hours building related activities.
- Prepare summary reports for management and recommend actions.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures, state, county, or city ordinances and codes.
- Assist in planning work assignments independently with minimal supervision.
- Travel within assigned territory using a company vehicle.
- Attend periodic training seminars.
- Support other operational tasks required for the Mobile Engineer role.
- Universal EPA 608 Certification.
- Minimum 4 years of technical experience in building engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- Availability for on‑call duties and overtime.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design.
- Experience managing work orders and using CMMS technology.
- Experience in a service‑related role for commercial facilities.
- Strong English language skills.
- Military experience with HVAC systems (5 years).
Estimated annual salary: $72,000 – $104,000 USD.
