Position Summary

This position reports directly to the Fire Alarm Service Manager or their designated representative. The technician is responsible for servicing and installing a wide range of low-voltage fire alarm systems and related components. All work must be performed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.

$3,000 Sign-On-Bonus based on experience!!!

Job Responsibilities

• Service, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of low-voltage fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72, as well as state and local requirements.
• Meet weekly productivity goals established by the Fire Alarm Service Manager.
• Complete administrative tasks including service acknowledgements, NFPA record-of-completion documents, and other NFPA 72 documentations.
• Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain required state licensing.
• Protect, maintain, and properly use company-issued tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including safe driving practices, PPE requirements, and lockout/tag-out policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicle in accordance with company standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Fire Alarm Service Manager.

Job Qualifications

• Massachusetts Class D or Journeyman License required.
• Fire alarm experience required; with working knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Strong understanding of wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
• Experience in bending and installing conduit is preferred.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with iPhone/iPad applications.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
