DescriptionThe Master Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position performs advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. The role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Master Mechanic also serves as a technical resource for equipment-related issues and maintenance best practices.

Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship, technical training, or related maintenance certification preferred.
- 4-6 years of industrial maintenance, heavy equipment, or manufacturing maintenance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial equipment systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and manufacturing automation.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, diagnostic tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
- Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently.
- Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and use hands to handle tools and equipment.
- Frequently required to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, parts, and equipment components.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally greater weights with appropriate assistance or equipment.
