Summary of Responsibilities
CORE Remodeling Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Residential Lead Carpenter to take ownership of the day-to-day jobsite operations and field execution of residential remodeling projects from start to finish. As our Lead Carpenter, you'll serve as the on-site manager and skilled hands-on craftsperson responsible for bringing each project to life. You'll oversee daily jobsite operations, perform skilled hands-on carpentry, communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and subcontractors, and ensure every detail reflects our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.
What You'll Do
Carpentry & Craftsmanship
- Perform all phases of rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other remodeling work
- Read, interpret, and follow plans, specifications, and change orders
- Complete punch lists and warranty items while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship
Leadership & Jobsite Management
- Serve as the on-site point person for daily jobsite operations, safety, and cleanliness
- Supervise and support carpenters, helpers, and subcontractors as needed
- Maintain a positive, professional environment for team members and clients
- Protect client property and follow proper dust-control, security, and safety practices
Project Coordination
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, subcontractors, and other jobsite needs
- Order materials accurately and check deliveries for correctness
- Participate in pre-construction walkthroughs and final punch-list processes
- Schedule inspections and assist inspectors on-site
- Track project progress and help keep projects on schedule
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain accurate jobsite paperwork, daily logs, and project documentation in Job Tread
- Communicate project updates, questions, and issues clearly with homeowners, subcontractors, and the CORE team
- Use technology to support project communication, scheduling, and documentation
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of residential remodeling or residential construction experience
- Demonstrated experience leading crews and supervising carpenters, helpers, subcontractors, and other trades on residential jobsites
- Strong hands-on carpentry skills across all phases of remodeling
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes, materials, and building practices
- Experience using construction project management software such as Job Tread, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar to manage communication, documentation, scheduling, and project tracking is required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction documents
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of project outcomes
