Journeyman Plumber
This role focuses on plumbing installation work across both residential and commercial projects in and around Worcester, MA. You will play a key part in new construction developments, with a strong emphasis on restaurants, school facilities, and college projects during winter and summer breaks. The position requires a Massachusetts plumbing license and the ability to deliver high-quality, code-compliant installations in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation of plumbing systems for new construction projects, including residential developments and college facilities during winter and summer breaks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute installation work accurately.
- Install water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and related equipment in accordance with state and local plumbing codes.
- Collaborate closely with general contractors, project managers, and inspectors to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions that meet safety, quality, and code requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and project progress for each assigned job.
- Ensure full compliance with Massachusetts plumbing codes and company safety protocols on every project.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.
- Work on ladders, lifts, and in tight spaces as required by job conditions while following all safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a cooperative team environment by communicating clearly and supporting fellow plumbers and tradespeople on site.
Essential Skills
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumbing License.
- Several years of plumbing installation experience in residential and/or commercial settings.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, particularly those applicable to food-service and educational facilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage installation tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and in tight or confined spaces while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with contractors, project managers, and inspectors.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools commonly required for plumbing installation work.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and following established safety protocols.
- OSHA 10 certification or strong familiarity with OSHA safety practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
