Youth Outreach Worker
Location: Hyannis, MA
Employment Type: Full time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the summer and 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. during the school session.
The Family Support Project (FSP) is based in Hyannis, MA and provides support and stabilization services for families with adolescent children ages 12 to 17 who are at risk of out-of-home placement, have been reunified from foster care or more restrictive placements, or are planning to step down from a residential or hospitalization program. The project functions as an after-school program during the school year and a day program during school vacations.
As a Youth Outreach Worker, you will provide culturally relevant outreach, engagement, and support services to transition-aged youth and those who work or live with them, promote support services, advocate for program participants, and coordinate with community and collaborative partners.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience working with youth;
Associate's degree preferred. - Minimum 21 years old, with a current valid driver's license and ability to drive for longer periods of time and to all areas of the Cape.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
