School-Based Social Worker - Worcester, Massachusetts

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program required
• Specialized certification in school social work
• Active, valid state licensure in social work
• Experience working with students in a school setting strongly preferred
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with staff, families, and external agencies

• Conduct individual and group counseling for students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Assess student needs and develop intervention plans
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to promote student well-being and academic achievement
• Work with families to connect them to community resources and supports
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of behavior intervention plans
• Document interactions, track progress, and maintain compliance with confidentiality requirements
• Respond effectively to crisis situations and provide on-the-spot support
