Associate Software Engineer

Job Description

As a part‑time Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute code and automation that enhance developer workflows and documentation delivery.

• Implement Dev Ops requirements and fixes in Python and JavaScript.
• Convert and refactor source code from Perl to Python or JavaScript.
• Contribute to CI/CD (Git Lab) jobs and runners for build, test, and publish flows.
• Automate and maintain documentation/help center content pipelines.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in pull‑request reviews.
• Instrument code and pipelines with basic metrics and logging.
• Follow secure coding and authentication best practices.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or Java) and git fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and package managers.
• Ability to deliver on time in a part‑time schedule.

• Experience with Git Lab CI, Docker basics, and YAML pipelines.
• Exposure to documentation/help systems or content workflows.
• Comfort working across Python and JavaScript stacks and REST APIs.
