Position: Application Engineer (HYBRID TO MA)

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an application engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both front‑end and back‑end components of web applications.

Your role will involve collaborating with other developers, understanding user requirements, and ensuring seamless functionality across various platforms.

This is a Full‑time, Exempt role.

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services.
  • Develop modern, responsive front‑end applications.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless end‑to‑end user experiences.
  • Build and manage database solutions.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python or Bash.
  • Design and build applications integrating AI/ML services, including:
    • Chat model integrations
    • Document extraction and content understanding solutions
  • Work with Azure AI ecosystem, including:
    • Cognitive Services and related AI platforms
  • Build AI‑enabled applications using Spring Boot‑based backend services.
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in Microsoft Azure, including:
    • Application Insights, Managed Identity
  • Implement caching using Redis or Ehcache.
  • Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance.
  • Continuously improve code quality and productivity using modern tooling and AI‑assisted development.
  • Automated Testing:
    Manage automated testing and provide feedback during the development process.
  • Problem Solving:
    Modify and test changes to previously developed programs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring any sponsorship now or in the future (Law Permanent Residence or US Citizen).
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to analyze and creatively solve complex problems.
  • Flexible working under changing and different work settings.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understands how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects/customers simultaneously.
  • Versatile; comfortable performing a variety of roles and tasks within the company.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to a variety of audiences at different levels and with different backgrounds.
  • Thrives on learning and learns quickly. Dedicated to self‑improvement and professional development. Takes advantage of various resources to self‑educate.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • React (preferred), Angular.
  • Relational databases:
    MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle (12c+).
  • No

    SQL:
    CosmosDB.
  • Jenkins and Git Hub Actions.
  • Dynatrace, App Dynamics, New Relic.
