We are seeking a qualified 7D Driver Trainer to provide pre-service and in-service training for school pupil transport drivers. This is a per diem position ideal for an experienced trainer looking for flexible, part-time work.
As a 7D Driver Trainer
, you will conduct 4-6 trainings a year, each 2-3 hours long, for 2-5 team members transporting youth after school. Trainings are usually held late afternoons, Monday through Friday.
- Conduct pre-service and in-service training for 7D school pupil transport vehicle drivers.
- Deliver training in accordance with Massachusetts regulations and industry best practices.
- Review driver safety procedures, defensive driving techniques, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records and attendance documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to drivers regarding safe vehicle operation and compliance standards.
- Update training materials as needed to reflect current regulations and requirements.
- Must possess a current Massachusetts-approved 7D Driver Trainer License/Certification.
- Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts 7D transportation regulations and safety requirements.
- Previous driver training or transportation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Position contingent on passing a criminal offender record information check (CORI) and a national background check.
