Requirements:

- Ability to pass a background check, CORI & SORI
- Must pass DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen and fingerprint background check
- Fuel vehicles at school bus lots as assigned.
- Fuel the above-ground fuel tanks at various locations.
- Adjust fluid levels; engine, transmission oils, windshield washer fluid on various fleet vehicles.
- Check tires for air pressure and overall condition.
- Make minor repairs to fleet buses.
- Report maintenance/ repair needs of bus / van fleet to management.
- Loading the fuel trucks with product at terminals.
- Keep proper records of amount of fuel put in and out of trucks.
- Knowledge, understanding, and application of the safety practices related to this position.
- Knowledge and understanding of the proper handling of hazardous materials relating to this position.
- Completion of all paperwork and records in an accurate and timely manner.
- Control, mitigate on, and cleanup of any motor fuel releases.
- Knowledge and understanding of HAZ-MAT, EPA, OSHA Regulations.
- Professional representation of AA Transportation and the bus industry.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the operating a fuel truck.
- Knowledge and understanding of vehicle fueling (Gas & Diesel).
- Apply knowledge of EPA, HAZ-MAT, and OSHA Regulations.
- Must be able to read and write and have the mental capacity to complete required paperwork and records.
- Must possess a minimum of a valid "Class B" Commercial Massachusetts Driver's License, with an air brake endorsement, passenger, tanker and Haz-Mat endorsement.
- Diagnose & repair vehicle (e.g. adjust/test steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulating components, etc.)
- Follow prescribed preventative maintenance procedures on all vehicles
- Identifies and reports any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned repairs and maintenance
- Records time spent, parts used, repairs and/or maintenance conducted on appropriate forms and software programs
- Ensures that all vehicles are properly prepared for the periodic Registry of Motor Vehicles school bus safety inspections
- Performs road calls and on-the-road repairs as necessary
- Parking lot and garage maintenance/snow removal
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel/gasoline equipment Knowledge of automotive trade practices, tools, and equipment
- Knowledge of construction and operation of automotive electrical systems and internal combustion engines
- Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary precautions required to work around, in and under vehicles or to work with petroleum-based chemicals, solvents and exhaust fumes
- Ability to locate and repair defects in automotive vehicles and equipment
- Ability to use tools and operate diagnostic and power equipment employed in the repair and adjustment of engines and components
- Ability to perform diagnostic and mechanical repair work without direct supervision in the shop or in the field
- Ability to change and repair tires
- Ability to pass a background check, CORI & SORI
- Must pass DOT pre-employment physical, drug screen and fingerprint background check
- Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License with a School Bus/Passenger endorsement or have the ability to obtain such.
