Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Worcester, MA— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay: $2000 or more per week. Includes:
- $29.00 per hour
- 40+ hours per week
- Earn extra $1/hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications
- Overtime pay after 40 hours
- $50 per diem per night
- Monday–Friday schedule (home time stability)
- $1,000 Annual Tenure Bonus
Routes and Equipment:
- Regional solo routes:
New England States and East Coast - Paid travel + hotel or sleeper provided for overnights
- Tractor type:
Day cabs and sleepers—possibility of 26' straight truck - Trailer types: 48'–53' flatbeds, dry vans, reefers, conestogas, curtain sides, and containers
- Freight mix: touch & no-touch
- Equipment provided: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or Moffett
- 1 year of flatbed experience
- Hazmat, tanker & doubles/triples endorsements required
- Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs
- Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
- Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use it or be paid for it)
