CDL A Driver-local deliveries. No weekends

Overview

Full-time Boom Truck Driver position with Shea Concrete located in Rochester, MA. The role involves safe and efficient delivery, assembly, and installation of precast products and materials to residential and commercial customers. Willingness to obtain a hoisting license to operate a boom truck is required, with paid training provided.

• Delivery and installation of concrete products
• Operation of knuckle or telescoping boom up to 15 ton (training provided)
• Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any malfunctions to supervisor
• Knowledge of DOT safety rules/regulations
• Daily inspection of crane and rigging; maintain monthly log inspections
• Properly securing cargo
• Maintain clean truck exterior/interior; washing and basic upkeep
• Load truck per shipping ticket
• Familiar with handling truck off-road
• Interact with customers on job sites professionally, projecting the company image
• Physical: frequent sitting, bending, walking, driving and climbing; must not be afraid of heights up to 10 feet
• Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
• Basic use and knowledge of hammer drills and related hand tools

• Must be at least 21 years old per federal guidelines
• Must possess a current Commercial Driver’s License (Class A preferred)
• Must possess or be willing to obtain Massachusetts 1B Hoisting license; willingness to obtain OSHA crane license, OSHA 10-hour and OSHA rigging and signaling certifications (Shea will assist)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
