Warehouse Associate
Position:
Warehouse Associate at Abb Vie, located in Worcester, Massachusetts. The role is on‑site.
- Comply with all appropriate policies and procedures to maintain training, safety, GxP, and governmental agency standards.
- Comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Adapt to fast changing work demands.
- Cross‑train in multiple areas of the operation while maintaining a low level of quality mistakes.
- Accurately receive and inspect inbound product/material for infestation, overages, shortages and damages (OS&D).
- Efficiently and correctly pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is picked.
- Transfer and locate material/product to general storage areas or shipping locations.
- Verify quantity, quality, labeling and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and accurate.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert (SME) during compliance audits; maintain open communication with leadership regarding audit findings and propose plan of action for resolution.
- Maintain valid driver’s license required for driving departmental vehicles.
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical operations setting.
- Accurately complete basic math calculations.
- Ability to read and understand training documents, product labeling and warehouse signage written in English.
- Pass medical screening and/or background checks conducted by local, state, and federal authorities.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work in a fast‑paced positive team‑oriented environment, with moderate supervision, emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- 5+ years working with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, general computer skills and RF scanners.
- Strong working knowledge applying CDA, TSA, IATA, DOT, IMDG and/or FTZ compliance regulations for the receiving and shipping of materials.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. or more with assistance; able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, stand and walk for an entire shift of 8 hours or more.
- Ability to work in an atmosphere range of –20°C to 30°C (–4°F to 86°F), wearing required PPE to complete assigned tasks.
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, hand tools and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining the highest level of productivity and accuracy.
Pay range: $23.1 – 41.6 USD.
