Job Description

Warehouse Associates are accountable for accurately performing a combination of manual and automated tasks necessary for receipt, storage, transport, picking, packing, shipping, staging, delivery and related activities of product that may be hazardous, temperature‑sensitive, or of high value, while continuously demonstrating behaviors aligned with Abb Vie's attributes and values.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all appropriate policies and procedures to successfully maintain training, safety, GxP, and governmental agency standards.
  • Comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to fast‑changing work demands.
  • Cross‑train in multiple areas of the operation while maintaining a low level of quality mistakes.
  • Accurately receive and inspect inbound product/material for infestation, overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
  • Efficiently and correctly pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked.
  • Transfer and locate material/product to general storage areas or shipping locations.
  • Verify quantity, quality, labeling and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and accurate.
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert during compliance audits, maintain open communication with leadership regarding audit findings and propose a plan of action for resolution.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license required for driving departmental vehicles.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience preferably within a pharmaceutical operations setting.
  • Accurately complete basic math calculations and read/understand training documents, product labeling and warehouse signage written in English.
  • Pass medical screening and/or background checks conducted by local, state, and federal authorities.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, positive, team‑oriented environment with moderate supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • 5+ years working with an ERP system, preferably SAP. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, general computer skills and RF scanners required. Ability to analyze, think creatively, decide, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Very strong working knowledge of CDA, TSA, IATA, DOT, IMDG and/or FTZ compliance regulations for the receiving and shipping of materials.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and/or more with assistance; able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, stand and walk for an entire shift of 8 hours or more.
  • Ability to work in an ambient temperature range of
    -20°C to 30°C (-4°F to 86°F), wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to complete assigned tasks.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, hand tools and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining high productivity and accuracy.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and the Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.

    This range may be modified in the future.

  • This job is eligible to participate in our short‑term incentive programs.
