A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children s Residential Support Worker to join a supportive team at a children's home in Kempsey, Worcester. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on young lives. As a Children s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering and caring for children aged 8-18 facing Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives, tailored to their age.
  • Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the children's home.
  • Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Support children and young people in promoting independence and well-being.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people s lives.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Children s Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
  • Must hold a full UK manual driver s license, as transportation of young people may be required.
  • Must be over the age of 21 and able to commute to Usk, Monmouthshire.
