Malvern College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Supervisor to support the delivery of high‑quality catering services for both boarding and day students, alongside assisting with a variety of school events and hospitality functions. This independent co‑educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 13‑18, set within the beautiful Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, offers A Levels, the IB Diploma and BTEC qualifications.
The role is part of the dedicated catering team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer that provides fresh innovative food services exclusively to independent schools and colleges. You will help oversee the day‑to‑day catering operation, maintaining excellent service standards for students, staff and visitors across the College community.
The safety and wellbeing of the people we serve is at the heart of everything we do. Effective allergen management is achieved through training, communication and care, creating mealtimes where every pupil has a safe experience. Responsibilities- Support the preparation, service and presentation of food to a high standard.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
- Assist with food labelling, temperature checks and allergen controls.
- Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors.
- Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
- Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
- Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out‑of‑hours functions.
- Accountability for championing allergen controls and upholding our respectful codes of conduct.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ideally have experience working within contract or high‑volume catering.
- Possess good health & safety knowledge.
- Flexible, can‑do attitude with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
- Team player who enjoys succeeding as part of a team.
