We are working with a growing and well-backed business within the energy sector, specialising in combined heat and power (CHP) systems. Due to continued expansion and increasing demand, they are now looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their UK-wide engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on micro CHP systems—compact, boiler-sized units typically installed in hotels, residential developments, and commercial buildings. These systems generate both heat and electricity from a single fuel source, offering a modern and efficient energy solution.
The role will involve installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding on these systems across a variety of customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of micro CHP systems
Diagnose faults and perform corrective repairs on mechanical and electrical components
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Support commissioning of new CHP installations
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
Complete service reports and documentation accurately
Provide technical support to customers on-site
Participate in a call-out rota to support breakdowns where required

About You
Experience working on engines, generators, CHP systems, or similar equipment
Background in sectors such as automotive, HGV, plant, rail, marine, or power generation
Strong mechanical skills with a basic understanding of electrical systems
Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
Ability to work independently in a field-based role
Strong communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company operating in a rapidly growing sector, backed by strong investment and long-term career prospects. You’ll benefit from structured training, including exposure to manufacturer systems and technology, alongside the chance to develop your expertise within CHP and modern energy solutions.
