• Support the day‑to‑day operation of engineering and workshop facilities.
• Maintain, service, and repair workshop equipment and ensure it is safe and ready for use.
• Support health and safety compliance, including maintenance of safety equipment and procedures.
• Prepare, set up, and store tools, materials, and equipment for practical teaching, assessments, and demonstrations.
• Assist teaching staff with practical activities, learner projects, and the production of teaching aids.
• Monitor workshop stock levels and order materials as required.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to workshop activities.
• Support staff and learners with technical advice and training where appropriate.
• Assist with open days, parents' evenings, and other college events.
• Contribute to the safe maintenance of college buildings, installations, and equipment.
• Assist other technicians with routine maintenance duties and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Attend parents' evenings, open days, and other functions.

• Level 2 qualification in both English and Maths (or a commitment to acquire them during employment).
• Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references (including at least one from a current or most recent employer).
• Valid qualifications in electrical installation or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity policies.
• Ability to travel to other campuses or surrounding areas as required.

• Salary: £25,724 – £27,961 per annum, with annual incremental increases after successful probation.
• Hours:
  
  37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.
• Location:
  
  Worcester (travel to other campuses may be required).
• Annual leave: 25 days plus 8 public bank holidays and 5 concessionary days; increases to 30 days after 2 years continuous service.
